Not my usual form of transportation for Hampton Court but rocked up to the Concours in my classic Volvo P1800 and left with a heart full of joy, a camera roll packed with stunning cars, and a bit sticky due to the beautiful but hot weather.

Hampton Court Concours d'Elegance is one of Europe’s most prestigious classic car events, held annually in the picturesque gardens of Hampton Court Palace, London. It brings together an exclusive collection of the world’s rarest and most remarkable cars, showcasing them in an elegant, historic setting.

The event typically features around 60 handpicked vehicles, including vintage cars, pre-war masterpieces, iconic modern supercars, and sometimes concept vehicles. Each vehicle is meticulously curated to reflect excellence in design, engineering, and historical significance. Participants and attendees include collectors, enthusiasts, and notable personalities from the automotive world.

From catching up with friends, having a small glass of bubbles to having an absolute laugh basking in the glorious sunshine, every moment was a reminder of why this is a must-attend.

Oh my Lord, did I mention the cars, ranging from pre-war stunners, which really aren't my bag, through to an impressive lineup of modern exotica in the form of Koenigsegg and Lamborghini.

Just to be completely biased for a moment, the ‘Mercedes Benz Club’ stand truly heralded the marque with a truly magnificent array of modern and classic Mercedes-Benz.
